Picked the guitar up for 2 mins while my wife was making lunch. This played straight off. Few minutes later I had the line 'there's a hole, there's hole, in the sky.' Realised that the tune had the potential to be a bit happier than that (my wife had mentioned this morning that all my songs are sad). So changed it to 'We are whole, we are whole, we are sky'. Another 20mins to write the verses and then record and done. just about a hour.
lyrics
We are sky
Mist rolls in through the valley floor
Coating white all we see
Gentle hills roll out from the grey
Breath it in its a brand new day
we are whole
we are whole
we are sky
See the bird on the morning air
floating out for their prey
in the distance the cockerels call
dawn the morning is broken for all
All the yellow the purple and blue
open out to the sun
smell the scent on the rising air
Life is here we don't have a care
hearts are full of the love we feel
Can you see what i see?
Share the warmth and kindness out
The only way there can be no doubt
